a unique product
Acqua Bianca is a modern liqueur with a unique historical provenance re‑imagined from a recipe in a late 1800s bartender’s book. Salvatore Calabrese re‑worked the antique recipe using only the best natural ingredients from land and sea.
The bottle design is representing the old bartender’s book the original recipe of Acqua Bianca was inspired by, as a celebration of its discovery.
Acqua Bianca is made using natural ingredients such as peppermint, rose, lemon, citron and bergamot. Bound with the essence of Ambergris to create an aroma and depth of flavour unlike any other, its fragrance is equal to the most refined perfume with a gentle sweetness and floral notes.
THREE TYPES OF CITRUS
The first type of citrus comes from the Amalfi Coast, Calabrese’s home. Another is bergamot from Calabria, where his mother’s family came from. The third is cidron, one of the oldest varieties of citrus with its origins in Asia.
While ambergris is known for its role in perfumery, using it in liqueurs is a new and unique practice. Acqua Bianca introduces this ingredient into the spirits world, resulting in a more intense taste.
PEPPERMINT AND ROSE
The freshness of the citrus is enhanced with mint and deepened with the gentle sweet and floral note of rose.
Unlike other liqueurs that are often too sweet and sometimes even sticky in aftertaste, Acqua Bianca gently disappears due to the fine balance of its ingredients.
